AI song remixer: turn your own recording into a full track
An AI song remixer rebuilds a recording you upload as a new track in another style; DeckBe's Beat DNA turns your own beat, song or a cappella into a full track in the genre you pick and returns two versions per run. It takes a few minutes, and each run uses 15 usage credits, the same amount a new account starts with.

What does the DeckBe AI music remixer do?
Beat DNA is DeckBe's remix AI for your own audio, with three modes:
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| Instrumental | Beat only: the result has no vocals. |
| Remix | Develops your recording into a full track and keeps the original intact. |
| New Vocal | Adds a new vocal: the AI writes new lyrics, or you write your own. |
In New Vocal mode you also choose the vocal gender and the lyric language: auto, English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, Zulu, German, Japanese, French, Italian or Korean.
In Remix mode, you also tell Beat DNA what you are uploading, and each source is handled differently:
- Beat or instrumental: the track is developed into a full track with its own sounds; no stock layers or vocals are added.
- Song with vocals: the vocal is separated and kept as it is, and the instrumental is rebuilt for the genre you pick.
- A cappella (a vocal recording with no music): your voice and lyrics are kept exactly, and a full track is built underneath from start to finish.
Instrumental mode always returns a track with no vocals, and New Vocal replaces any vocal with a new one.
Which genres can you remix a song into?
Genres are grouped into two families, Electronic and Hip-Hop & R&B, and every genre comes with four vibes to choose from. Examples include Tech House, Techno, Melodic Techno, Afro House, Amapiano, Drum & Bass and UK Garage on the electronic side, and Trap, Drill, UK Drill, Boom Bap, Phonk, R&B, Latin Trap and Afrobeats on the hip-hop and R&B side.
How do you remix a song with AI, step by step?
- Open Beat DNA. Sign in to DeckBe and open Beat DNA.
- Upload your recording. Use an MP3 or WAV file between 6 seconds and 6 minutes long, up to 40 MB.
- Say what it is. Mark it as a beat or instrumental, a song with vocals, or a vocal recording with no music.
- Choose the mode and genre. Pick Instrumental, Remix or New Vocal, then a genre, a vibe and a Short or Long Version. For New Vocal, add your lyrics or let the AI write them.
- Generate. It takes a few minutes and keeps running in the background if you leave the page.
- Compare V1 and V2. Listen to both versions in the app, download the MP3 on a paid plan, or extend the track for 10 usage credits.
Who is an AI song remixer for?
- Producers with a loop or beat sketch who want to hear it as a finished track in a specific genre.
- Singers and rappers with an a cappella who need a full track built under their vocal.
- Artists who want another genre version of their own unreleased song, for example a house or drill version.
- DeckBe users moving work between tools: a Beat Lab beat goes to Beat DNA with Make Full Track, and a Voice Lab vocal with Add Beat.

How much does the AI song remixer cost?
Each Beat DNA run uses 15 usage credits in all three modes, New Vocal included; drafting lyrics with the AI lyric writer can use 1 more usage credit. Every run returns two versions, and extending a result costs 10. You can start free with no card: new accounts with a confirmed email get enough usage credits for one full run, plus 1 for each day you log in. The Free plan can listen in the app but cannot download; MP3 downloads are on Pro, Elite and Ultimate.
| Plan | Price | Usage credits | Beat DNA runs per month |

| Elite | $19.99/month | 600 per month | 40 |
| Ultimate | $39.99/month | 1,500 per month | 100 |
Runs per month assumes you spend your usage credits only on Beat DNA.
Unused usage credits roll over, paid plans include unlimited downloads with no per-download fee, and yearly billing costs 20% less. If a run fails for a technical reason, or an upload is rejected for matching a released recording, the usage credits are refunded. See all plans.
Can you remix a song you don't own?
Only remix audio you own or have permission to use. Beat DNA rejects uploads that match a commercially released recording (and refunds the usage credits) as well as recordings that match copyrighted lyrics; the safest source is an unreleased recording you made yourself. Using other people's copyrighted material without permission is not allowed under our Terms of Service.
AI song remixer FAQ: what else do people ask?
- Can I remix a famous song with DeckBe?
- No. Beat DNA is made for your own recordings. Uploads that match a commercially released recording are rejected and the usage credits are refunded, and recordings that match copyrighted lyrics are rejected too.
- Is the AI song remixer free?
- You can try it free with no card. New accounts get 15 usage credits, enough for one full Beat DNA run, plus 1 usage credit for each day you log in. On the Free plan you listen to results in the app; MP3 downloads need a paid plan.
- Will my vocals stay the same?
- In Remix mode, yes. With a song that has vocals, the vocal is kept as it is and the instrumental is rebuilt; with a vocal recording and no music, your voice and lyrics are kept exactly. Instrumental mode removes the vocal, and New Vocal replaces it with a new one.
- What files can I upload?
- MP3 or WAV files between 6 seconds and 6 minutes long, up to 40 MB.
- How long does a remix take?
- A few minutes. If you leave the page, generation keeps running in the background and you get a notification when it is ready.
- Can I add new lyrics to my beat?
- Yes. New Vocal mode writes new lyrics with AI, or you can write your own, and you choose the vocal gender and the lyric language. A run costs the same 15 usage credits; drafting lyrics with the AI lyric writer can use 1 more.
